Bus driver arrested for threatening Police officer in viral video

A driver of a bus has been arrested by the Welikada Police following a viral video in which he threatened a traffic police officer after being fined for a traffic violation. The video gained widespread attention on social media platforms.

In the footage, the suspect can be seen verbally threatening the traffic police officer, introducing himself as Dilshan, and warning the officer not to remain on the road after issuing a fine.

According to Police, the suspect was arrested after an investigation was launched based on the viral video circulating on social media.

It has been reported that the suspect, who operates a passenger transport service on the Hettiyawaththa - Karagampitiya route, was issued a ticket by the particular traffic police officer of the Welikada Police Station for a traffic violation. The incident had taken place in the Rajagiriya area on Monday.

The arrested suspect is scheduled to produce before court today. (DSB)

He's not the only one. Almost, all of the bus drivers are thugs, crooks and no respect for other road users let alone to think the roads are their private property. This stupid thug should be barred for life sitting in a driving seat again.
