Colombo, Dec. 5 (Daily Mirror) - Budget 2026 was passed with a majority of 157 votes with 158 MPs voting for and one member voting against. 

The main opposition, the SJB, Ravi Karunanayake, the SLPP, and the NDF were absent during the time of voting. 

MP Gajendra Kumar Ponnambalam voted against.
