Colombo, Sept. 14 (Daily Mirror) - Buddhism should be preserved in order to safeguard the sovereignty of the country, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said today.
Speaking during a religious ceremony at the Sri Vipashyarama Temple Maharagama, the Opposition Leader said it is the duty of all citizens to safeguard Buddhism.
"It is also essential to safeguard other religions as well," he added, while highlighting that the teachings of the Buddha, if followed will make all Sri Lankans happy and well.
