Bribery Commission gets new Investigations Director



Colombo, June 9 (Daily Mirror) - Fifteen police personnel, including five senior officers, have been transferred or appointed with immediate effect, following the approval of the National Police Commission.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohan Lal Siriwardena has been appointed as the Director of Investigations at the Bribery Commission. He previously served as the SSP in charge of the Financial Crimes Division of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

In addition, SP A.S.K. Bandara has been transferred from the Ampara Division to the CID, while ASP W.T. Anuranga has been moved from the Mount Lavinia Division to the CID.

ASP B.L.A. Prasanna has been transferred from the Elpitiya Division to the Nugegoda Division, with ASP M.D.P. Deepthi Kumara moving in the opposite direction.

The following officers were also transferred:

  1. CI J.D.D.C. Jayakody – From OIC, Balangoda Police to Badulla Division 
  2. CI W.D.K.C. Navaratne – From Colombo Central Division to OIC, Balangoda Police
  3. CI R.P.C.U. Rajapaksa – From HR Management Division to OIC, Udawalawe Police
  4. CI B.P.L. Fernando – From Gampola HQI to Batticaloa Division 
  5. CI K.M.D.N.D. Kannangara – From OIC, Delft Police to Gampola HQI
  6. CI K.W.C.N. Abeynarayana – From OIC, Ankumbura Police to OIC, Delft Police
  7. CI S.S.K. Rathnayake – From OIC, Ankumbura Police to OIC, Matale Division
  8. CI D.G.S. Wijesinghe – From OIC, Nawakurunduwatte Police to Gampaha Division 
  9. Inspector M.H.N. Tharaka - From the post of OIC Bemmulla Police to OIC of Poovarasankulam Police
  10. Inspector S.M.N.N. Siripathi - From Negombo Division to OIC of Bemmulla Police Station
