Boy injured after jumping from locked room; Police launch probe



Colombo,  April 15 (Daily Mirror): The Keselwatta Police have launched an investigation after a 12-year-old boy, who was forcibly locked inside a two-storey house, jumped out of a window and sustained serious injuries.

The child, along with two other neighbourhood children, had gone to a nearby shop when he reportedly knocked on the gate of a three-storey house nearby.

A resident of the house forcibly took the child inside and locked him in a room on the second floor.

The child is currently receiving treatment at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo.

Police said a 59-year-old man who assisted in the incident has been arrested, while the home owner has fled.
