Boralesgamuwa UC Chairman arrested
The Boralesgamuwa Urban Council Chairman has been arrested by the CID over the incidents at Galle Face Green on May 9.
Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the Chairman will be produced in court tomorrow after statement was recorded.
He said some 16 suspects have been arrested by the CID so far in connection with the attack on peaceful protesters at Kollupitiya and Galle Face Green on May 9. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
