Colombo, April 9 (Daily Mirror) - The low-pressure area in the central parts of the south-west Bay of Bengal is likely to move northwards over the west-central Bay of Bengal during the next 12 hours, the Meteorology Department said.
It is expected to gradually weaken over the central Bay of Bengal during the following 24 hours.
Temporarily strong winds of up to 60 km/h, accompanied by heavy rainfall and rough seas, are likely over the aforementioned sea areas.
The fishing and naval communities are advised to stay attentive to future forecasts issued by the Department in this regard.
