Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organizer MP Basil Rajapaksa said he would tender his resignation from Parliament today morning.

Mr. Rajapaksa told Daily Mirror that he would address the media afterwards.

He said he took this decision after considering the current situation. He declined to elaborate on the matter . He also said he would remain in politics .

“I am not interested in parliamentary politics ,” he reiterated. (Kelum Bandara)
