The All Ceylon Bakery Owners' Association (ACBOA) today decided not to interfere with price increases of the bakery products parallel to the increase in the prices of commodities, including fuel day after day.

ACBOA President N.K. Jayawardene told the Daily Mirror that the country does not have a control price for any commodity and with the price increase of ingredients and other commodities including fuel, we cannot mark a fixed price for bakery products.

The association has decided to not announce any price increase with the indiscriminate increasing of prices of all essentials such as fuel, foodstuffs, fruits and vegetables which is going higher and higher on daily basis.

Therefore, the bakery owners should take their decision on the selling price of bakery products without giving consumers any reason to ponder. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

The price of bakery products vary from bakery to bakery and Chun Pan to Chun Pan. No one bothered to follow your announcements and it was a joke. If the movement can not control price what can you jokers do. Crap!
