Backhoe Saman’s wife, child arrested with Kehelbaddara Padme returns
The woman and child who were arrested in Indonesia alongside underworld figure Kehelbaddara Padme and several of his associates arrived in Sri Lanka this evening (29).
They arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport at around 5.50 p.m. on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-365 from Jakarta.
The pair had been detained in Jakarta following the arrest of Kehelbaddara Padme, Commando Salintha, Backhoe Saman, Thambili Ruwan and Kudu Nilanga, during a joint operation with Sri Lankan and Indonesian authorities.
However, Indonesian officials decided to repatriate the woman, the wife of Backhoe Saman as no serious criminal charges had been filed against her.
