our KANDYAN DANCERS are beautiful.... WELCOME Maldivian Airlines

Reduce Landing Fees Friday, 26 April 2024 08:44 PM

Hope more airlines (both Regular and Budget) can be signed up immediately. SL needs to do more work in attracting tourism. But due to the economic situation, only limited physical improvements can be done to the facilities. However, SL can entice airlines to operate more flights by reducing their landing cost. This in turn should reduce the airfares and encourage more tourists to SL.

Time to upgrade arrival and departure terminals. The toilets look like from 18th century whilst the terminals look old, shabby, haggard and worn out without maintenance. Cleaners and baggage handlers uniform no different to abans Street cleaners. BIA definitely is in the bottom 5 airports in South Asia. First impression about our country is miserable

Very Good comment... Our politicians have NO administrative skills to get the job done..... MEGA CABINET but NO work. Except 1 or 2, all others are rotten.

SL still Bankrupt - Swap the fittings with Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport Friday, 26 April 2024 04:29 PM

Before they hand over the Mattala Airport for rental, should swap the toilet and other good condition fittings. These fittings should be in better condition as it’s hardly used. At the moment, priority is to upgrade and replace those hospital equipment and provide nutritious meals to the needy. Upgrading and replacing Airport facilities may have to wait for now. Remember, as many have forgotten, SL is still Bankrupt. Most Governments over the years were projecting all’s well by taking loans for the various projects, free education and medical, purchases of high end vehicles, globe trotting etc. Up till now, it’s not fully paid up to the tune of USD $60 Billion!

Why it took them such a long time to open this route ? I was thinking cmb-male' route vis maldivian airlines already existed from the beginning. There are so many maldivians living in Colombo. They visit Sri Lanka for holiday, shopping, education and medical needs.

Interesting to what happened to the Maldivian flights that were supposed to cone to the refurbished Ratmalana Airport. Useless Tamashas wasting tax payers money. This is will not last long.

This is the only thing our ministers are good at, take pictures. This is only Maldivian airways, not kLM or British.
