Colombo, Jan. 4 (Daily Mirror) - Two national rugby players, Charani Liyanage and Ayesha Perera will create history in Sri Lanka Rugby history when they officiate as female match officials and assistant referees for the first time at this week’s Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament matches in Colombo.
The former women’s national skipper, Ayesha will officiate at the CH and FC vs Air Force SC game at the Racecourse Grounds in Reid Avenue while Charani will officiate at Welisara in the game between Navy SC and CR and FC.
Both games will be worked off on January 6.
These two referees were fortunate to get support on the developments under the structure of long and short-term plan development, training, and education from Chairman Dilroy Fernando assisted by Anil Jayasinghe.

Men would love to watch them in shorts. All matches would be fully packed.
