Attorney General carrying out investigations into Channel 4 allegations

PARLIAMENT (Daily Mirror) - The Attorney General is currently carrying out investigations into the allegations by Channel 4 over the Easter Sunday bomb attacks, Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe told Parliament today.

"The Attorney General is carrying out investigations into the Channel 4 report in order to decide on suitable action. However, the development over the appointment of a select committee is not known," the Minister said in response to an oral question by MP Hector Appuhamy.

Also, it was revealed that only Rs. 36.8 million out of a total of Rs. 311 million has been deposited by former President Maithripala Sirisena, DIG Nilantha Jayawardene, former IGP Pujith Jayasundara and former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando.

He is going to turn tables and professionally and full competence investigate every mm of this allegation like he has done so very successfully so many others in the past. Gosh Channel 4 is going to get it and all those perpetrators must be urinating in their trousers after reading this news.

The outcome of this investigation is already fixed. That is what Channel 4 showed was false and without any credible evidence. Rajapaksas and the Military Intelligence Unit had no involvement in the Eater Sunday massacre. A member of the Military Intelligence Unit never asked an Islamic terrorist to persuade ISIS to admit that this attack was carried out on the instruction of ISIS.
