Attorney General carrying out investigations into Channel 4 allegations

PARLIAMENT (Daily Mirror) - The Attorney General is currently carrying out investigations into the allegations by Channel 4 over the Easter Sunday bomb attacks, Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe told Parliament today. 

"The Attorney General is carrying out investigations into the Channel 4 report in order to decide on suitable action. However, the development over the appointment of a select committee is not known," the Minister said in response to an oral question by MP Hector Appuhamy. 
 
Also, it was revealed that only Rs. 36.8 million out of a total of Rs. 311 million has been deposited by former President Maithripala Sirisena, DIG Nilantha Jayawardene, former IGP Pujith Jayasundara and former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando.
