Assistant Manager, security officer arrested over Horana bank robbery

Colombo, June 5 (Daily Mirror) - An Assistant Manager and a security officer have been arrested in connection with the robbery of Rs. 35 million from a state bank in Horana recently.

They were arrested after recording statements regarding the incident this morning.

A sum of Rs. 35 million prepared for replenishing ATM machines was robbed from the Horana branch of the People's Bank by an unidentified individual on Wednessday morning.

The incident occurred when a bank employee was carrying two bags containing cash out of the bank's rear exit for transportation.
