Colombo, Feb 06 (Daily Mirror) - Social media and 'Aragalaya' activist Dilan Senanayake has been appointed as a director of the National Youth Services Council (NYSC).

The new Board of Directors for the NYSC was officially appointed during a ceremony at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports yesterday.

Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Sunil Kumara Gamage presented the appointment letters to the members of the new board.

'Aragalaya' started and expanded without any political affiliation. JVP which was insulting the participants openly at TV interviews, later entered it discreetly when it saw how the struggle getting strengthened. Sajith Premadasa was attacked when he visited by a JVP member who is an MP now. And now they are using it for their own benefit.

TIME TO START OPENING FOOD BANKS IN POOR AREAS, GET THE STUFF THAT GOES TO WASTE FROM MARKETS, SUPER MARKETS, SHOPS ETC INCLUDING DRY RATION PRODUCTS PRIOR TO RUNNING OUT OF DATE AND DISTRIBUTE TO THE POOR. FOOD BANKS IS AN AREA WHERE THE RICH CAN DONATE TO A FEW CENTRAL HUBS AND CAN BE TRANSPORTED TO THE POOR VILLAGES AND OR REMOTE AREAS.

In reality, what did he do for "Aragalaya"? JVP initially declines to take part. To avoid embarrassment, that Eranga guy and his group just take part at the very end. Do as you choose, but don't use "Aragalaya" for personal gain. No, those who took part haven't influenced "Aragalaya" politically at all.
