April 15th declared as holiday

The cabinet of ministers has decided to declare April 15 as a government holiday, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

The proposal was submitted by Minister Vajira Abeywardane.

under the shop and office act,as Sinhala/Tamil New year falls on a Saturday and Sunday.Friday has been declared a half a day and Monday has been declared full day holiday.
