Anuradhapura Hospital director removed

Colombo, March 14 (Daily Mirror) - In the wake of the sexual assault of a female doctor at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital, Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa has removed the hospital's director, Dr. Dulan Samaraweera, from his position.

Dr. H.M.I.U. Karunaratne, the Director of Polonnaruwa Hospital, has been appointed as the Acting Director of Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.

He will take on this role in addition to his existing duties at Polonnaruwa Hospital.

However, it is reported that Dr. Samaraweera had voluntarily requested the Health Secretary to appoint a new director as part of efforts to improve the hospital's administration.

The doctors who continued the strike wouldn't listen to anyone. They are worst than sexual predators when they take public purse pay and then continue striking even when criminal is caught, all while getting paid.
