Anura meets India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval
India, Feb. 5 (Daily Mirror)-NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake met India's National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval this afternoon, party sources said.
The meeting took place at Sardar Patel Bhavan.
Matters concerning regional security and bilateral ties between India and Sri Lanka were broadly discussed during the meeting.
Parliamentarian Vijitha Herath also joined the discussion, sources said.

Unfortunately that will be the end of current Sri Lanka. JVP too were responsible for the current situation because they destroyed the youth since 1970s. They destroyed the positive mindsets of the youth. Then from 1977 , JR created the corrupt government and the civil war which went on for 30 years without any solution. Rajapakshas ended the war and carried out massive development projects but they robbed the country. People think that JVP will be different but based on their destructive mentality I am not sure about it.

Enlightening him on how to be a colony after 76 years of independence or a Big Brother advising a little Brother. Either way I see India in the box seat.When we are constantly reminded of their benevolence what else can tiny SL do. Plenty in my view if only they can stop their infighting and concentrate on developing their economy. With their own efforts not running for foreign aid and investment at every turn.These things come with strings attached, detrimental in the long term creates a dependence when what we need is SELF RELIANCE how they developed in the first place .And centralizing in Colombo has not worked. Need economic freedom for provinces .That way at least some parts of the country will develop for others to follow

@ Lion, You are spot on. The Indian Leadership knows very well what is happening in SL. Besides, the NPP Geo policies are transparent and clear though the former JVP`s were unpredictable. Sadly the Govt`s and the main opposition's policies tend to be erratic and tainted with corruption and self interest and only thinly camouflaged with phony national/global concerns.

The JVP has made several “twists and turns” in its political adventurism; mostly to the detriment of the nation. However, it remains the only alternative to the corrupt political establishment. Wether by lack of opportunity or sheer integrity, one man in the party has always impressed with his steadfastness. That man, is Tilvin Silva. His intellect and skills could have guaranteed more lucrative pastures had he joined the Weerawansa band wagon. The man has however stood firm to his ideological beliefs and impressed everyone with his commitment. If this is indicative of the overall commitment of the party hierarchy to National Interest rather than Self Interest, the party is now worthy of serious consideration. And a personal plea to Tilvin : Please don’t become as corrupt as the “DOGS” that have ruined our beautiful country. Don’t let “opportunity” be a temptation. It is the fervent desire of every citizen in this nation to be able to say, “There is one honest man in Sri Lanka.”
