Almas Holdings pledges Rs 225 Million for flood relief in Sri Lanka



Colombo, Dec. 13 (Daily Mirror) - Almas Holdings Pvt Limited, a leading investment holding company active in the Capital Market and Real Estate sectors, has pledged a total of Rs 225 million to support flood relief and rebuilding efforts in Sri Lanka.

Through its subsidiary, Almas Equities Pvt Ltd, a regulated stock broker under the Securities & Exchange Commission and Colombo Stock Exchange, the company contributed Rs 100 million to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ President’s Fund. The cheque was handed over today by Almas Holdings Chairman Imtiaz Buhardeen to the President’s Secretary.

In addition, the company pledged Rs 125 million specifically for flood relief and reconstruction initiatives in the Kandy District, demonstrating its commitment to supporting communities affected by recent floods.
