Alleged VIP assassination plot: DIG Nalaka De Silva released from case

Colombo, Dec 6 (Daily Mirror) - The Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court today ordered to release former Director of the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) DIG Nalaka De Silva from a case filed against him that he had allegedly plotted to assassinate former President Maithripala Sirisena and former Defence Secretary and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered to release the former TID Director from the case following the Attorney General's advice not to proceed with the case due to insufficient evidence.
