Air Force modifies helicopters to spray disinfectant by air

Aeronautical Engineering Wing at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake has made an apparatus which will enable spraying of disinfectant liquids in large quantities from air to highly contaminated areas if required.

This equipment can be mounted to a Bell 212, Bel 412 or MI-17 Helicopter.

This will be implemented on the instructions of Air Force Commander, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias.

Actually, Covid-19 is not a airborne virus and is passed to people via touching infected surfaces or by droplets sprayed when sneezing. I'm not sure how this is going to work to disinfect?

What good is this? Sounds like it will do more harm than good. So are we to breathe in disinfectant now? How about the animals? They say it isnt carried ftom animal to person.

Some one has misunderstood. Disinfectants good at train compartments buses, buildings etc. Disinfectant via helicopter, where to use it?

Who is gonna pay for the helicopter fuel ⛽ ... The fuel is more costly than the disinfectant
