Colombo, July 24 (Daily Mirror) - Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni revealed today that 36,000 cancer patients have been admitted to the Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama within the first six months of this year, from January to June 30, 2025.
The Minister told Parliament that 6,700 new patients have been registered with the hospital from January 1 to June 30, 2025.
Responding to a question by SJB MP Chamindrani Kiriella, the Minister said an average of 950 to 1,000 patients attend clinics daily.
