35 youth from NYSC to participate in exchange programmes in India and Bangladesh



Colombo, August 25 (Daily Mirror) - The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports announced that 35 youth from the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) have been selected to participate in youth exchange programmes in India and Bangladesh.

According to the Ministry, 13 youth will travel to India while 18 will visit Bangladesh. The participants were chosen from among youth representing all districts through a selection process at Youth Club Regional and District Conferences.

The issuance of passports, visas, and air tickets for the participants took place today (25) under the patronage of Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage. Deputy Minister Eranga Gunasekara and NYSC Chairman and Director General Supun Wijeratne were also present at the event.

The Ministry confirmed that the group scheduled to travel to Bangladesh will depart on August 26, while those selected for India will leave on August 30.
