30 snakelets found in outdoor classroom at a school in Kurunegala

Colombo, July 22 (Daily Mirror) - A startling discovery was made at Bogamuwa Central College in the Kurunegala district when 30 snakelets, three adult snakes, and 55 snake eggs were found and removed from the school’s outdoor classroom in the primary section.
accordingly, the operation was carried out by the newly appointed principal, along with staff members, following reports from teachers and students of snake sightings in the area. The new principal assumed duties on June 27 and initiated an inspection based on the alerts, which led to the discovery.
Bogamuwa Central College currently educates around 2,000 students, with 153 students in the primary section alone, spanning from Grade 1 to Grade 13. The swift action by the school administration helped ensure the safety of the children and staff.
