28 passengers hospitalized after bus falls down precipice, 4 critical

The 1st and foremost question I wish to pose is, what type or class of Bus was used on this route??? If my recollection 49-50 years ago is accurate, - I used this route – probationary engineer! An E-class CTB (SLTB) Bus Ratnapura depot!!! "Pan Baage" Bus as affectionately/colloquially termed!? Population has grown 25% since 1970, my guess – pressure due increased commuters, scheduler has upgraded route to higher class to alleviate the issue and Road class has not kept up!! More passengers per trip, than increased frequency – lack of resources – My guess (pure guess) Not HO/Board approved proposition!!?? Sri Lanka is very Funny country!?? Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) isn’t in active use, in government/statutory Boards/Corporations!!?? If still available is followed in “the BREACH”!!!?? Value of HUMAN LIFE is “LOWEST Factor” – in any analysis - attain resolution!!??

We'll said mahila you don't find people who look in to this matters accordingly..Majority dedicated professionals are taking overseas opportunity sadly life's are in danger from driver safty to road users safty is very much lacking in magority people now days hardly have any common sense in many ways using public roads ..Road safty driver safty heavy light vheicle program should be used prior issuing liecence to educate the drivers and driving in difrent conditions
