Parliament Nov. 27 (Daily Mirror)- The husband of a warden of a children's home in Ratnapura has abused 20 small girls who are under the care of a home, State Minister of Women's Affairs Geetha Kumarasinghe told Parliament today.

She said stern action would be taken against the culprit.

The Minister said four more child pregnancies have been reported during the past few days, bringing the total number to 26 since last month.

As a minister you should find some ways to prevent such things through regular checks by authorities and by passing severe punishment to such offenders. No point in just telling these things. Appoint committees headed by eminent persons to find out suitable measures

For the 100th time, the 1st and foremost action is to get hyper busy and prepare paperwork, evidence to prosecute this kind of perpetrator of this sickening crime. 2nd, press for maximum penalty. My suggestion is humane (ha ha) castration follows by prison. 3rd. Lose the key to his cell. Now that a proper deterrent!
