2,500 police personnel deployed for security in A’pura
Some 2,500 policemen have been deployed at religious places in Anuradhapura during the Poson week until June 19, Police said.
They said the presence of the army has also been sought to man at roadblocks and City areas.
Special security has been provided to railway stations while police lifeguards, navy and civil defence force personnel are stationed at the tanks and reservoirs.
