A 19-year-old youth was killed and a 68-year-old man critically injured after being allegedly assaulted by some of the guests at a function held at a residence in Galle last night.

Police said the victims were also attacked by swords. They were rushed to the Karapitiya Hospital but the teenager is reported to have died on admission.

Investigations are being conducted by the Galle Police though no suspects have been arrested yet.

There is no value for life in Sri Lanka. One of causes for such brutality is excessive consumption of liquor at social gatherings. This is about the third incident reported in the recent past. via DM iPad app

you can not blame the religion. This is because no punishment for killing ,raping ,smuggling. Law is only on papers .Prison is just like a second home.
