12 office trains cancelled due to railway guards not reporting for work

At least 12 office train services were cancelled due to railway guards failing to report for duties, the Railways Station Masters' Union said.

They said office trains operating in the morning and noon were cancelled. It is reported that the trains scheduled to be operated in the evening will be cancelled if railway guards did not report for duty.

Several train cancellations are being reported at the end of every month.

After completing the monthly overtime the railway controllers report sick without reporting for work.
