12-hour water cut in Mattegoda and surrounding areas

Colombo, April 8 (Daily Mirror) - A 12-hour water cut has been scheduled for Mattegoda and several adjoining areas tomorrow (09) due to reduced water supply caused by prevailing dry weather conditions, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.

According to the NWSDB, the water cut will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Areas affected include Mattegoda, Brahmanagama, Kirigampamunuwa, Deepangoda, Polgasowita Road, Kudamaduwa and Pubudu Mawatha.

The Board said the temporary suspension is necessary due to constraints in water availability caused by the ongoing dry spell.
