A fine all-round performance by Samith Wijenayake helped Henegama Central to come on top against Asoka MV, Colombo in their Under-19 Inter-Schools Cricket Tournament encounter which began at Kirindiwela yesterday.
Henegama Central bowled out their opponents for 95 runs in their first innings and then ended the day at 118 for seven in reply.
Asoka MV: 95 (Kusal Gunawardena 21, Samith Wijenayake 5/42, Shehan Lakshan 3/22)
Henegama Central: 118/7 (Samith Wijenayake 33, Shehan Lakshan 22, Ashan Madusanka 21, Tharindu Sandaruwan 20 n.o, Rahul Chandrasekera 3/22, Janula Dulsara 3/26).
