Holcim Lanka lecture on transferring from British Standards to Euro Codes today

Concrete structures have always been designed according to the British Standard (BS) codes for a considerable period of time. However, due to the advancement in design codes, Euro Codes (EN) have been introduced. In order to facilitate the transfer from BS to EN and enable the engineers to alter their design practice accordingly, the Application & Innovation Centre (A & I Centre) of Holcim Lanka plans to host an expert presentation on the subject.
All design engineers, project consultants and everyone else involved in concrete design are invited to attend this event. The presentation will be chaired by University of Moratuwa Civil Engineering Department former Head Prof. Priyan Dias, who is an expert in design of concrete structures according to design codes.
He has authored books on design of concrete structures according to both BS code and Euro code and is recognized as an authority on the subject. It will be held today at 4:30 p.m., at A & I Centre, No: 413 Duplication Road, Colombo 3.
