Chief Internal Auditors of Banks Forum is a body formed to share best practices, knowledge and to strengthen fellowship amongst Chief Internal Auditors in banks. The membership of this forum consists of Chief Internal Auditors of all commercial and specialized banks in Sri Lanka. The forum appointed new office bearers recently.
Hatton National Bank PLC (HNB) Chief Internal Auditor Niroshana Seneviratne was elected President. Niroshana is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Fellow of the Institute of Bankers, Certified Public Accountant and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He counts more than 25 years in the banking sector and prior to joining HNB, was the Chief Internal Auditor at Commercial Bank of Qatar which position he held for eight years. He had been the Chief Internal Auditor at National Development Bank PLC and Nations Trust Bank PLC.
Sanasa Development Bank Chief Internal Auditor A.M. Chandrasagara (Immediate Past President) was elected Advisor. Pan Asia Bank PLC AGM/Head of Internal Audit Jeremy De Zilva was elected as Vice President and Bank of Ceylon Chief Internal Auditor P.M. Liyanage as the General Secretary.
Commercial Bank of Ceylon AGM-Management Audit John Premanath, Peoples Bank Chief Internal Auditor Nandanie Thilakarathna, DFCC Bank Chief Internal Auditor Charitha Jayawickrema, Standard Chartered Bank Colombo Country Head of Audit Sivanandan Marimuthu, National Development Bank PLC Vice President Audit Ruwani De Silva and HDFC Bank Chief Internal Auditor A.J. Atukorala were appointed to the committee.
