How idiotic is the sign "Boycott Dictators" . When the whole world knows that the oldest democracy in Asia is in Sri Lanka. Every government since independence have been democratically elected by the people of Sri Lanka. That fact is known the world over. The present Presiden of S/L too was elected by the people. If at all there was a dictator, not elected by the people it was the thug LTTE leader who was a murderous dictator. These banner carriers seem to worship a murderer of not only Sinhala people but Tamils as well.

The govt. has not been truthful at all about troop reduction in the North or release of occupied lands. How can they publicise?

In my assessment, it is the LTTE-supporting Tamils (LSTs) who embarrassed the UK by their behavior. This was a special occasion celebrating the British Queen. It was marred by the behavior of selfishly screaming raucous Lankan LSTs.
The LSTs in UK are in a host country and should be shamed into seeing the unacceptable way they are behaving, instead of which responsible journalists seem to focus only on the diplomatic problem..

Obviously the war for Eelam which ended in Sri Lanka is waged across the world. If this is so then treat it as a war. Counter protests and protests of any meeting of the Tamils by over seas Sri Lankans, including death threats to outright protests of their leaders including those who support them who are the worst for they have no stake in the issue except for ideological reasons. they too should be barred from Sri Lanka and their activities hounded for their tacit support of dividing Sri Lanka. Make their lives a living hell.

Second comment:
All those Sri Lankan Tamils who have left Sri Lanka should never be admitted back into Sri Lanka. For once they return they will continue the process to create Eelam.

The LTTE supporting Tamils living abroad does not have to show us over in Sri Lanka what is a dictatorship and what is democracy. We have always had the option of changing governments via the ballot and that is democracy. What their despot of a leader Prabakarn did was a dictatorship in the Wanni. I hope they now know the difference.

Correct analysis. Time the government get Mr. N Sathiya Moorthy as a Presidential Advisor.
