Yala national park would remain closed during the months of September and October, informs the authorities.
Every year this national park remains closed during these months for breeding of animals, development of the road network, and desilting of lakes and ponds. This closure would apply only to the first and second zones. The remaining four and five zones and the Udawalawa Park would be kept open for the visitors.
The Yala national park is scheduled to reopen on November 1st for both local and foreign tourists.
