A stray bitch roaming in the Balangoda town which had bitten about twenty persons, had been caught after an exhausting exercise on Monday (21) by the Staff of the office the Medical Officer of Health in Balangoda, under the direction of the Chairman of the Balangoda Urban Council Chamika Jayamini Wimalasena. Later the bitch had been caged.
The Chairman, Balangoda UC stated that on Sunday, about twenty persons had been bitten by this animal. Sources revealed that the bitch which had given birth to seven pups a week ago, had later bitten them to death.
