Strict security measures are to be implemented in Parliament on July 24 2019 when intelligence officers will arrive to testify before the Parliamentary select committee which is probing the Easter Sunday incidents. Well informed sources told Daily mirror  that defence authorities have requested Speaker Karu Jayasuriya to impose some security measures on that day.
Daily mirror reliably learns that taking photographs and video recording of arrival and departure of intelligence officers will be prevented. It was reported earlier that questioning of intelligence officers would take place ‘in camera’ on that day. Several intelligence officers including CID Head Ravi Seneviratne, Director CID Shani Abeysekera, SIS Director Nilantha Jayawardene are among those who have been called to testify before the committee on July 24 2019.
