The Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW), Autonomous Weapons and Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lanka Campaign to Stop Killer Robots will launch a book titled the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW), Autonomous Weapons and Sri Lanka on January 10 at 3.30 p.m. at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute (SLF), Independence Avenue, Colombo 7.
The book launch will be graced by the speakers Ambassador Jayantha Dhanapala Former United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs and Patron for the Forum on Disarmament and Development (FDD) of Sri Lanka and Mr Ravinatha Ariyasinha Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ms Yanitra Kumaraguru (Lecturer, Law Faculty, University of Colombo) is the Coordinator for Sri Lanka Campaign to Stop Killer Robots.
She is the first Sri Lankan female to lead a disarmament-related campaign in Sri Lanka. This event is going to be Yanitra’s first.
The event is organised by the Sri Lanka Campaign to Stop Killer Robots and FDD.
