For the first time in Sri Lanka, popular online food portal MyChef.lk together with Crysbro has launched a cookathon for the foodies and aspiring chefs in the cyberspace.
First of its kind, the competition is open to all Sri Lankan Facebook users and serves as a platform for the same to showcase their culinary skills.
Prizes worth of Rs.175,000 await winners of the cookathon and interested parties can join the contest simply by sending in a recipe they swear by – ideally an original recipe or one that has been passed down from generation to generation – along with a photograph or video of the said dish prepared and photographed to perfection.
The competition will be judged by a panel of judges based on the quality of the recipe, its uniqueness and originality.
Entries should be submitted via the MyChef.lk Facebook page before January 31, 2018 and all pictures should be in JPG or PNG formats. Further details of the competition can be obtained simply by visiting the MyChef.lk website or social media accounts.
MyChef.lk is a unique virtual platform that brings together foodies and culinary enthusiasts in Sri Lanka and abroad together allowing them to connect and bond over their common passion – food.
Established in 1972 with just 100 chicks and a vision to become a market leader in terms of quality, freshness and innovation, Crysbro has grown at a steady pace and in the decades since, has emerged as Sri Lanka’s first and most sophisticated, fully vertically-integrated poultry producer with operations spanning grandparent, parent farms, hatcheries, broilers and feed mills.
This thriving ‘Farm-to-Fork’ concept has been at the core of our success and which in turn has provided unprecedented support for numerous stakeholders including direct and indirect employees, outgrowers, domestic maize farmers and ultimately, the Sri Lankan consumer.
