Three killed, eight injured in head-on collision

At least three people were killed and eight others were injured when a bus travelling to Jaffna from Colombo collided head-on with a lorry at Mahamalugollewa on the Medawachchiya-Anuradhaura Road last night, police said.

They said the deceased aged 53, 20 and 12 were identified as residents of Jaffna.

The injured were admitted to the Anuradhapura Hospital.
