Suspected handler taken in

A suspected handler of the suicide bombers was arrested in Enderamulla, Wattala last night, informed sources said. 

Intelligence Officers had monitored the suspected handler following his alias and a photograph of the suspect was obtained. 

Intelligence Officers are ascertaining as to the depth of the involvement of the said suspect and his local and international connections.  

Islamic radicals usually change their birth names to more completely arabised names upon Salafist radicalization.

The person is said to be around 35-year-old and was employed and married. His father is of Pakistani origin. Sleuths did not divulge any further information on the suspect. 

Last evening, Special Task Force officers took Moulavi Thawufeek the head of the National Thawheed Jamath mosque in for questioning. (Hafeel Farisz)

    Even to ban the Thouheed Jamaath and the ban on wearing the burka and nikab the authorities were dragging their feet. A complete ban should be made on all sects of Islam with immediate effect.
