Siddhalepa Chairman passed away
Entrepreneur and Chairman of the Hettigoda Group of Companies, Dr. Victor Hettigoda, passed away at the age of 84.
Dr. Hettigoda was the fifth of a family of nine children. He received his education at Rahula College, Matara.
On leaving school, he joined his father as a 'helper student' in pursuit of the ancestral noble profession of Ayurveda Medicine.
The most popular Siddhalepa pain relieving balm is the brainchild of Dr.Hettigoda.
He was also one of the candidates who contested the November 17, 2005, Presidential Elections.
