SLPP named Gota to tackle security situation: SF

13 August 2019 11:52 am - 12     - {{hitsCtrl.values.hits}}

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka said Gotabaya Rajapaksa was selected as the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) presidential candidate as its leaders clearly understood the current security situation in the country.

“There is a question about the current security situation in the country. That is the reason why there was a demand from that side. They think Gotabaya is the best person to solve that problem. I’m not going to talk about his abilities and disabilities. But they have selected him as the best person, having understood the country’s problem,” he said.

Field Marshal Fonseka added, “If the government and UNP acted without understanding this problem they would not get the peoples blessings. The people have given priority to security today. That has to be understood and acted upon accordingly. Otherwise, people will respond negatively.” (Sujith Hewajulige)

    You are correct Sir. If Security is neglected, it will have negative consequences on ECONOMY including Tourism

    Time for you to back Sajith and become law and order minister

    If fonseka can be the candidate in 2010 why can't he be given the same in 2020. UNP should explain that.

    Sorry man, you and Gota are not suitable to lead a county. A county has to be led economically and the rest falls in place.

    You two made an excellent team! Whatever said and done you and gota love the country!

    To tackle security we employ a security guard. To run a country we need a visionary and an economist.

    Sajith to be prime minister and you to be the presidential candidate its seems purely good idea. To me sajith inexperience person to lead as a president, he have the top but the basement is weak. Field Mashal is strong in military background and handling situations, But economical theories he need peoples support. Sajith is good in economical theories. He will sacrifice his whole life to build the country. cos he dont have a family run businesses. Mr. Gotabaya was a dummy to the SLPP. Like president sirisena in 2015. Its upto the people to decide. "One srilanka one nation, We are the people of mother srilanka,whatever the race, religion or culture, we all are one blood of humans" "We need a proper leader to take the country to the next upper level. God save my mother lanka"
