Police released a picture of a 22-year-old Covid- 19 positive man from Sapugaskanda, who had gone missing since last evening, police said.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the man, Nimesh Madushanka, a resident of Devala Road, Makola in Sapugaskanda had been released from Mahara prison recently and authorities have directed him to undergo home quarantine.
The health authorities have conducted a PCR test on him and he was identified as Covid-19 positive. However, when the authorities arrived at his home to take him to a treatment center, he had gone missing.
DIG Rohana requested the public to inform the Sapugaskanda Police OIC via 0718591599 if they have any information.(DSB)

First of all government should have to understand why people running away from the quarantine. People were scared because the media and government always try to blame the people when they find a patient. So, it has to be stopped and try to understand there are not criminals and do not to act as criminals.
