Number of COVID-19 patients rises to 50

The number of patients infected by COVID-19 has increased to 50, Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said.

Speaking at the National Operation Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19- Outbreak, she said eight more individuals have tested positive for the virus today.

Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said three Sri Lankans from Italy, three local tour guides who accompanied a group of tourists from the UK and one from India were among the eight new COVID-19 positive patients today.

    On-going actions should have been implemented much earlier than the victory quotes. Then we would have been in a better position. WHO claims the serious status which is contradictory to Govt. claims including you.

    No one is talking about social distancing ie. 2 meters/ space per person , Especially buses should not carry more than 30 people at a time/ any super market line -up should keep the 2 mtrs gap, per person not to have more than ie. 40 people at the store at any given time , wake up !
