Education Minister Professor G.L Peiris today said that the Ministry had decided to limit the school holidays in August to one week this year.
While addressing the media he said the decision was taken to cover the curriculum to conduct the Grade 5 scholarship, GCE Advanced Level (A/L) and Ordinary Level (O/L) examinations on the scheduled dates.
Accordingly, the Grade five scholarship exam will be held on October 3, the A/L examination from October 4 to 30 and the O/L examination during the last week of January 2022. (CS)

What another ridiculous decision of this patriotic government when there is a required closure in October for the A/Ls after a long period of closure, before. Please ignore that vacation in August and be sensitive.
