The Colombo Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake ordered the CID yesterday to conduct an investigation over the incident where it has been alleged that IGP Pujith Jayasundera had arrived at the CID without prior notice and abused the police officers who were at the reception counter and had used criminal force on the lift operator.

The Magistrate having considered these submissions ordered the CID to conduct an investigation regarding this conduct of the former IGP.

" IGP had come unannounced as they were bowing to the National Anthem" Does IGP need an invitation or an announcement to walk around his own department ?

Any IGP for that matter any head of the department can visit their offices unannounced. This is absurd.

Typical of our Sri Lankans when they get a position. They behave like rabid dogs irritated by flea infestation. If he can talk to his female staff like this I can just imagine his household. Must be petti coat government so he must air his frustration on other female workers
