President Maithripala Sirisena will chair his last Cabinet meeting as president today before retirement.
President Sirisena will retire from office after the presidential poll on November 16.
The Government had advanced the Cabinet meeting to this morning because Tuesday would be a public holiday because of Poya.
The meeting will take place at 8.30 a.m. today.

So many ambitious people with education and class wanted to become the President, over the last 30 years, but could not, yet this simple man became one. We have to reluctantly believe in destiny and this rotten thing does not respect talent nor wisdom but we can’t fight against this powerful and cruel entity, and that is very sad.
