Former Ministers Kabir Hashim and M.H.A. Haleem, who resigned recently, were sworn in again in their previous portfolios before President Maithripala Sirisena a short while ago.
Accordingly, Hashim was sworn in as the Minister of Highways, Road Development & Petroleum Resources Development, while Haleem was sworn in as the Posts, Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs Minister.
All Muslim Ministers including Cabinet, State and Deputy Ministers resigned from their portfolios, on June 03.
The Ministers said they resigned to facilitate investigations which were being conducted against MP Rishad Bathiudeen.

Let's not forget, original reason given for resigning was " to protect our people". Therefore, coming back to office, they should remember their responsibilities to all Sri Lankans, not just the chosen ones. After all, all Sri Lankans are paying their wages!

Haleem is no 1 power hunger. Now hajj is nearing, every year he and his brother are earning billions giving hajj quota to their known agencies. So both of them are sleepless these days until they back to power to steal. He should be sacked

Why is the Muslim Affairs Minister coming back? He failed all of Sri Lanka in exposing extremism, apparently authorised NTJ mosques, foreign clerics and madrasahs! What guarantees do we have that he is fit for office? E.g. Madrasah in Modara has re-opened. We cannot afford issues to go unnoticed again!

Was Haleem the person who stated that Swords are brought to clear Jungle around the Mosque ?.
Lawry Wednesday, 19 June 2019 04:24 PM
Haleem said swords are used for cutting grass. He is either a fool or thinks we are fools. He is not fit to be any Minister.

They resigned to express solidarity. Today another story and tomorrow will be another. These guys were all protesting the ouster of the three who have various connections. Be aware they cannot be trusted.

These Muslim Ministers are back in their position to earn money for themselves and their friends. The FCID must monitor there financial worth on a continuous basis. Others are not angels but these Muslim Politicians have taken the corruption to a different level.
