Colombo Leadership Academy (CLA) has partnered with People Business India to host a series of strategic workshops in Sri Lanka, the first of which will be ‘How To Link HR Strategy with Business Strategy’. People Business (PB) is a global human resource management consulting firm focused on improving the performance capabilities and business results of organisations.

It is geared to coach business leaders on how to effectively create cultures where people and strategies align towards the creation of a shared vision and favourable results using their leadership competencies effectively. The strategic collaboration with PB India and CLA will undoubtedly support the nurturing of effective business leaders in Sri Lanka.

CLA announced the launch of its latest workshop, which is designed to educate business managers and organisations on strategies to enhance employee engagement and motivation.

The event, presented in partnership with PB will feature recognised industry experts such as PB Co-Founder Mervyn Raphael, a founder of PB in South Asia, MEA and SEA and CLA CEO Director Riaz Hassen, a leadership and business strategist with over 29 years’ experience, who has been instrumental in the growth of diversified conglomerates. Hassen is a Leadership Circle USA-certified leadership effectiveness and culture assessor and a member of the Strategic Management Forum, UK.

The two-day programme to be held on June 24 and 25, at The Kingsbury, will focus on areas such as aligning human resources with strategic business growth, articulating and implementing compelling EVP, identifying and developing employee potential, building a highly engaged workforce using EE 2.0 framework, building a high performance organisation and business transformation through leadership transformation.

Speaking on the event, Hassen explained, “Employee engagement represents the relationship between an organisation and its employees. This is not just a rational connect but is also an emotional bond that binds employees to organisations. The workshop, targeting CEOs, COOs, directors, GMSs, HRDs and HR managers will focus on company best practices for producing business-savvy employees, discuss pioneering solutions of people-centric businesses and case studies of human resources making business impact by delivering knowledge that will drive high performance business cultures and accelerate growth.”
Raphael, with over 30 years of experience in the industry brings to the table a wealth of knowledge from companies with successful human resource management skills such as Hindustan Unilever, AT&T and Mercer Consulting. Having led a variety of consulting assignments over the last 15 years, primarily in the areas of Defining Vision and Values, Employer Branding, Leadership Transformation and Executive Coaching for globally recognised brands such as PWC, GSK, Accenture, 3M, Novartis and Credit Suisse among many others, Raphael’s insight and knowledge in the industry will prove an invaluable resource for local industry heads to draw from.
